IIIE Innovation Institute for Industry-Education Integration

产教融创研究所

The IIIE Innovation Institute for Industry-Education Integration (hereinafter referred to as the "IIIE") is a professional subsidiary established and wholly incubated by EduTech Press in Hong Kong, China. Leveraging Hong Kong's platform as an international hub and the publisher's global resource network, the Institute is committed to its core vision of "breaking down barriers to industry-academia-research collaboration and building a closed-loop ecosystem of 'practice-academia-industry-education'." It aims to become a specialized bridge connecting theoretical depth from Chinese academia (including vocational and undergraduate institutions), practical value from industry, and the global market.

Core Positioning: Leveraging Hong Kong as a Hub, Focusing on "Transformation," "Empowerment," and "International Expansion"

The Institute is positioned around Hong Kong's international platform, serving not merely as a resource matching platform but as a value-transformation hub focused on three core functions:

Academic Transformation of Practical Achievements

Addressing the      valuable practical experience accumulated by industry in technology R&D, product innovation, and industry services, the Institute collaborates with experts from domestic vocational colleges, undergraduate institutions, and research organizations. Through systematic organization, theoretical refinement, and standardized validation, it transforms fragmented practical cases into academically rigorous research outcomes (e.g., industry blueprints, academic papers, professional textbooks), filling gaps where "practice precedes theory" in specific fields and providing academic support for industrial development.

Industrial  Empowerment through Academic Resources

Fully activating the expert networks, research facilities, and talent pools of domestic vocational and undergraduate institutions, combined with Hong Kong's international perspective and resource integration capabilities, the Institute provides customized promotion plans for high-quality industry outcomes and innovative products. This includes academic endorsements for corporate R&D and leveraging Hong Kong's global communication channels to introduce local industrial achievements to international markets, helping enterprises overcome brand recognition barriers and market expansion bottlenecks.

International  Output of Educational Achievements

With Hong Kong as the  radiation center, the Institute collaborates with Chinese vocational and undergraduate institutions, integrating EduTech Press's international and  multilingual publishing resources to reconstruct an educational knowledge system that aligns with international cognitive habits while incorporating Chinese industrial characteristics. Through the publisher's global network of "vocational colleges + industry enterprises + applied undergraduate institutions," it disseminates China's educational models, technical standards, and craftsmanship globally, driving the transition of Chinese education and industrial culture from "local development" to "international recognition."

Mission Deepening: Leveraging Hong Kong's Advantages, From "Bidirectional Connection" to "Three-Dimensional Ecosystem Co-construction"

The Institute's core mission revolves around "four synergies," building on collaboration between academia (including vocational and undergraduate institutions) and industry. Using Hong Kong's international platform as a link, it promotes a shift from "one-way cooperation" to "deep symbiosis" among the three sectors:

Collaborative R&D

Using Hong Kong as a hub for cooperation and exchange, the      Institute organizes joint research by domestic vocational and undergraduate experts and industry technical teams to address industrial  pain points (e.g., lack of industry standards, technological bottlenecks).  This ensures academic research and teaching content are closely aligned      with industrial needs, avoiding "armchair theorizing" and "teaching disconnection."

Collaborative Talent Development

Combining industrial job requirements with educational objectives (including vocational skills training and      undergraduate theoretical-application integration), the Institute jointly designs modular curricula that integrate industry's latest technologies and practical cases into teaching. This cultivates compound talents with theoretical foundations, practical skills, and professional qualities,  addressing the issue of "talent supply-demand mismatch."

Collaborative Promotion

Using Hong Kong as a resource integration node, the Institute combines EduTech Press's "international + multilingual" publishing resources, academic dissemination resources from academia (vocational colleges + undergraduate institutions), and industry's market  channel resources. It builds multi-track promotion paths ("academia +  market + education") for industry-academia-research collaboration outcomes (e.g., innovative products, research reports, teaching courses)  to maximize their value.

Collaborative Global Expansion

Leveraging Hong Kong's international communication advantages, the Institute collaborates with domestic vocational and undergraduate institutions and industry enterprises to jointly develop educational materials and training programs tailored for overseas markets. It incorporates Chinese enterprises' technical standards, service norms, and the craftsmanship of "striving for  excellence," reaching global audiences through joint training base construction and collaborative teaching with overseas institutions.

Benchmark Projects: Dual-Track Approach, Using Hong Kong as a Pivot to Materialize Integration Concepts

"China Wine Academy" Project

To implement the "industry + education" integration model, the Institute takes Hong Kong as the starting point for international dissemination and incubates the "China Wine Academy" as its first flagship project. Supported by EduTech Press's financial backing and "multilingual + global network" resources, it creates a demonstration case driven by industrial demand, supported by academic resources, and grounded in educational delivery:

Building a Systematic Teaching System: Collaborating with leading domestic wine industry enterprises, agricultural undergraduate institutions, and relevant vocational colleges, the Institute jointly develops teaching content covering the entire wine value chain ("viticulture, winemaking, tasting culture, brand marketing"). This includes technical training  courses for professionals (vocational colleges) and cultural popularization and in-depth research courses for the general public and researchers (undergraduate institutions and social audiences), filling gaps in systematic educational resources in China's wine sector.

Promoting International Dissemination of Chinese Wine: Using Hong Kong as a hub, the Institute leverages EduTech Press's multilingual publishing resources (translating textbooks and industry blueprints into English,  French, Spanish, etc.) and global institutional networks (connecting with overseas wine professional institutions and international wine research organizations). It introduces China's wine industry stories (e.g., unique terroir of wine regions, innovations in traditional winemaking techniques), brand values (e.g., quality standards of local wineries), and product characteristics to overseas markets through multilingual material output, Hong Kong international academic forums, and global tasting events. This breaks international market cognitive limitations on Chinese wine, supporting the industry's upgrade from "product exports"  to "cultural and brand output."

Creating a Model for Industry-Education Integration: The project  simultaneously establishes a three-way cooperation mechanism in Hong Kong  ("enterprise internship bases + undergraduate research centers + vocational training centers"). Enterprises provide practical  positions for students, while institutions offer R&D and talent support, forming a closed loop of  "teaching-practice-employment-R&D" and providing a  replicable model for industry-education integration in other vertical sectors.

Internationalization Project for Chinese Vocational and Undergraduate Education

As one of the Institute's core missions, this project uses Hong Kong as an international springboard, focusing on "knowledge reconstruction" and "global dissemination" to promote Chinese vocational education, undergraduate education, and craftsmanship worldwide:

Reconstructing an Internationalized Educational Knowledge System:  Collaborating with high-quality domestic vocational colleges (e.g., smart manufacturing, modern services) and applied undergraduate institutions (e.g., engineering, agriculture, cultural creativity), the Institute sorts out China's technological advantages and practical experience in  relevant industries (e.g., smart manufacturing process standards, specialized agricultural cultivation techniques). It transforms these into course modules, teaching cases, and training programs aligned with international education norms, adapting them locally through EduTech Press's multilingual publishing resources. It also incorporates  interpretations of China's craftsmanship spirit of "focusing on details and pursuing excellence," ensuring knowledge output combines  "technical practicality" and "cultural appeal."

Building an Overseas Promotion and Collaboration Network: Leveraging Hong Kong's international institutional cooperation resources, the Institute signs "course co-construction and credit recognition" agreements  with overseas vocational and applied undergraduate institutions,  introducing the reconstructed educational knowledge system into overseas classrooms. Meanwhile, using Hong Kong as an offline exchange center, it  organizes Chinese institutional teachers and industry experts to conduct teaching exchanges and technical training overseas or hosts  "International Exhibitions of Chinese Educational Achievements" in Hong Kong, enabling overseas faculty and students to intuitively experience China's educational standards and industrial craftsmanship,  gradually establishing international brand recognition for Chinese  education.

Creating a "Vocational + Undergraduate + Industry" Global Expansion Model: Using Hong Kong as a resource integration platform, the Institute collaborates with domestic vocational colleges, undergraduate institutions, and relevant enterprises (e.g., equipment manufacturing, electronic technology firms)  to provide overseas partner institutions with integrated solutions combining "multilingual courses + training equipment + technical support." This promotes Chinese educational standards while supplying locally skilled talent for Chinese enterprises' overseas operations, achieving synergistic advancement of "education going global" and "industry going global."

Future Plans: Rooted in Hong Kong, Expanding the Boundaries of Integration and Innovation

In the future, the Institute will continue using Hong Kong as its core international platform, building on its two benchmark projects to further expand the coverage of industry-education integration and innovation. It will focus on incubating new projects across four key directions: "education technology, specialty agriculture, cultural creativity, and advanced manufacturing":

Education Technology

Collaborating with AI education enterprises and university educational technology programs, the Institute will develop scenario-based teaching tools and curricula for "AI + education." Through EduTech Press's global network and multilingual resources, it will promote the international output of relevant teaching standards.

Specialty Agriculture

Drawing on experiences from the wine project, the Institute will create integrated "industrial education + brand promotion" solutions for local specialty agricultural products like tea and traditional Chinese medicinal materials. Using Hong Kong as a hub, it will connect with global agricultural trade and educational institutions,   supporting the standardization and internationalization of specialty agriculture.

Cultural Creativity

Partnering with cultural creativity enterprises and university  design and media programs, the Institute will transform intangible cultural heritage techniques and traditional cultural elements into market-oriented cultural and creative products. Simultaneously, it will  promote multilingual versions of teaching systems for intangible cultural heritage techniques overseas through educational projects.

Advanced Manufacturing

Focusing on smart manufacturing and new  energy sectors, the Institute will collaborate with vocational colleges, applied undergraduate institutions, and leading enterprises to develop international vocational training and undergraduate practical courses.  Leveraging Hong Kong's international manufacturing exchange resources, it will promote international recognition of China's manufacturing technical standards and craftsmanship.

The IIIE firmly believes that by leveraging Hong Kong's international platform advantages and EduTech Press's global resource network, true synergistic value creation among education, academia, and industry can only be achieved when academia is rooted in industrial soil, education aligns with industrial needs, and industry leverages international communication. Moving forward, the Institute will continue its professional and pragmatic approach to drive the implementation of more industry-academia-research-education integration projects, injecting new momentum into China's industrial upgrading, educational innovation, and cultural global expansion.
